Welcome to the Siddington Parish Council Website
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, all Parish Council meetings have taken the form of telephone conference calls. However, the Parish Council has resumed monthly physical meetings from Wednesday 9th June at St Peter’s Church in Siddington.
CASUAL VACANCY ON THE PARISH COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there is currently ONE vacancy in the Office of Councillor for Siddington Parish Council.
The Parish Council is able to fill the vacancy by co-option, rather than a formal election process.
If you are interested in serving as a Parish Councillor, you will need to submit an expression of interest by 5.00p.m. on Monday 31st August 2021. Supporting statements are encouraged, on no more than one side of A4, detailing why you would be interested in becoming a Parish/Town Councillor.
Expressions of interest should be submitted to Robert Cowley, the Clerk of the Parish Council, at 3 Broadway Lane, South Cerney, Cirencester, GL7 5UH, or by email to email@example.com.
Candidates are reminded that, to be eligible for co-option on to the Parish Council, they must satisfy the standard election qualification criteria. Please contact Cotswold District Council’s Elections Team if you need any guidance on this aspect (telephone 01285 623000 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org).
It is hoped that the co-option will be dealt with at the Parish Council’s meeting in September.

SIDDINGTON CORONAVIRUS SUPPORT (SCS)
Although lockdown is gradually being eased, the Siddington Coronavirus Support (SCS) Group is still available to provide assiatnce if required. A group of willing and enthusiastic volunteers from the village are on standby to support our local residents. For those of you who need to stay at home, Siddington Coronavirus volunteers are on hand to help with shopping/prescriptions/post or to make a call to anyone feeling anxious or lonely. Our website serves the Parish of Siddington and has two main aims:
- to allow Parish Council documents and information to be distributed and available for everyone to access;
- to engage you with the activities of your Parish Council and encourage your input and participation in Parish Council matters.
